When people think of weddings most people assume it is in the summer, with the sun beaming down on the guests on a picturesque day accompanied by nature at its highest beauty. But more recently people have looked to the winter season for their special day. Getting married in the winter is a seemingly new and un traditional concept as the prime time to get married is in the spring, summer season while weather is at its best, but you’ll be surprised that more people than ever are getting married in the winter.

In the winter demand for the business is a lot lower so therefore if there are less customers at venues, then the costs for a couple are a lot cheaper to keep the business healthy. If a couple are looking for a cheaper wedding and to cut some costs it is better to get married in the winter. Many people are put off by the cold weather and it seems less traditional therefore making the winter seem a lot less appealing. But there are many reasons for why it is actually better to get married at the end of the year according to many happy couples who tied the knot in the winter.

The main reason people find in getting married in the winter is that it is the time of the year where all the family come together, especially around Christmas time people are united and happy. It is the time of the year where many people are not away on holiday, so everybody can come together especially for a wedding day. Many people feel a sense of togetherness as the weather gets colder and the build up to Christmas and the new year begins, family from all over come down and if you wanted everybody together, getting married near Christmas time is ideal.

Overall a winter wonderland wedding is ideal for those who love the idea of the sense of togetherness in the family when Christmas rolls around, and those who want to capture that feeling on their wedding day. As we see more people move to this cheaper alternative, it is predicted more and more people will be getting married in the winter.
